Windows 10: Cumulative Updates

Hello,Everytime I restart my Lenovo due to the updates below, my Lenovo desktop starts up with a black screen.2025-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems KB50555282025-04 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 23H2 for x64 KB5054980The only way to fix it is to do a system restore to before the update. Why is this happening?Thanks

I suggest you to uninstall the Cumulative update and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below.

  Go to control panel, then click on
  Programs and Features.
  
• 
  Tap on View installed updates, then find the update.
  
• 
  Right click on the update and uninstall the update.
  

And also you can temporarily disable the
Cumulative update.

Cumulative December update

I tried to download and install the December Cumulative Update from the website you had listed and did not have any luck. I received error messages stating that it would not install and it still has not come through windows update. Do you have any other
suggestions?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
