My current computer is not compatible with win10. If i upgrade motherboard and cpu, will i be able to use current ssd with installed win10 or will win 10 refuse to boot on new motherboard cpu combo?

As mentioned, any socket 1151 motherboard would work. However, due to the fact that 1151 socket motherboards are getting old, the prices are going through the roof. The only hardware changes that can negatively impact activation status once you upgrade to free version are the changes to the:

• CPU
• TPM
• Motherboard replacement

The following changes are examples of hardware changes that will NOT impact the activation status:

• HDD/SSD
• Video card
• Adding extra memory

CPU upgrade to make pc windows 11 compatible

I currently have a HP Pavilion Desktop PC 570-p033. Product number Z5N87AA#ABA. My CPU is 7th Generation Intel Core I7-7700. My motherboard is HP82F200 with a 1151LGA CPU slot. Windows 10. PC health check says my machine as it is now cannot be updated to Windows 11. My question is can I replace the CPU with a 8th generation Intel Core I7-8700 which according to the CPU compatibility list is supported by windows 11.
