Windows 10: Currently having a problem with Riot Vanguard, Something about a driver called zamguard.sys.

Hi, I know this is probably or maybe something i shouldn't post here but i cant find info about it. For some time now every time i start my computer the Riot Vanguard anti-cheat detects a driver in system 32 called zamguard.sys and refuses to load the file in and let me play my game. I don't know much really about computers but i was hoping y'all could help me.

Riot Vanguard uninstall error

I have just uninstalled the riot vanguard client, and in the original folder I can't uninstall two files, called vgk.sys and vgk_2023-02-17_16-00-14. I tried to see if they were running in the background, but I didn't find them. Whenever I try to uninstall them it says that they are currently running and they need to be closed before deleting them.

 

Is Riot Vanguard causing my computer to restart?

For the past couple of months, I have been getting PC restarts. Changing the settings to make the PC not restart only makes it completely freeze. Today I tried the minidump method, and I uploaded them to OneDrive.

I also took a look at them myself using the WinDbg tool - two of the minidumps pointed towards Riot Vanguard. Am I correct here? Should I just uninstall Riot Vanguard and Valorant for a while and see if that was indeed the issue?

I will recommend that you do a Clean Boot.

While in clean boot state, uninstall or delete the RIOT Vanguard files.
