Build 25281 is old Dev channel build, but this week insiders in Dev channel are moved to new Canary channel and latest build is 25314.

Since your insider settings seem to be broken you can try manually update to 25300. Download ISO from insider preview download site and when ISO is downloaded, mount it by double click or right click and select mount. This will create virtual DVD drive with Windows 11 build 25300 installation files. Run setup.exe to start inpalce update.

Another way you can try is to delete WindowsSelfHost key from registry. On Release Preview and Beta channel builds this kick Windows out of getting previews, but on 25xxx builds it will recreate preview settings for correct channel.

1) Open open regedit (push Win key and type regedit).

2) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost

3) On left panel right click that key and delete it.

4) Close regedit and restart (may require two restart)

5) Check for updates

 

Windows 11 Insider Preview -

I am running Windows 11 Insider Preview via Parallels Desktop VM on a 2021 Macbook Pro with M1Max chip because that is the only Windows operating program that would install on the Macbook Pro when I purchased it.

My question is whether or not I can now activate a full copy of Windows 11 (2-2-2022 is the date) since the program keeps telling me to go to the Microsoft store to purchase a key or full copy. Which version I should "buy" and how that works, given I am already running Windows 11 Insider Preview which seems to not be able to be activated, is a complete obscure mystery.

Please advise on how to buy a key, how to either stay or not stay in Insider Preview mode. Simple instructions are needed even for the computer literate.
