Windows 10: Currently using win live email, per godaddy I need to switch to win mail as pop no supported.

Currently using win live email v11 , per godaddy I need to switch to win mail as pop is no longer supported , need to use IMAP now. They are now a 365 email service Microsoft 365 Email. I have been using win live mail and have folders that I need to keep. I do need the capability provided by an offline email program.1. Can I configure and start using win mail now without losing the messages in win live mail? 2. And just treat live mail as a archive? 3. Or can I import the folders from live mail into win mail?Godaddy support could not answer these questions, or provid

How do I get windows 8 mail to connect with my godaddy email....there is no option for a POP server...needed for my godaddy account to link

To set up Windows Live Mail with your email, you need to know your POP or IMAP Email Server Settings and ports. You may follow these steps to setup your email account in Windows 8 mail:

1. Open Windows 8 Mail by clicking on the Mail tile in the Start menu.
2. Hover the mouse cursor in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
3. Select Settings.
4. Select Accounts, and then click Add an account and configure the server and port settings.

win live mail problems in win 10


Suddenly my email has gone haywire.
My App for win live mail has a shield on it that means I have to open it as admin, and I get a box asking me if I want to let this programme to make changes.

When mail opens I invariably get a box asking me to enter my password. Further, I have two addresses. one for me and another for my wife, each has a different email address but both mail lists appear on my PC and also on my wifes PC.

I also get asked for the password for her address. On my PC I no longer get her emails but mine list in both her and my mail boxes. On her PC she gets both her and my emails listing correctly.

I have no idea why this has suddenly happened. I got a new password for mail a few months ago and it worked fine. but now I am getting thiese problems.

In addition it may be part of the same problem, If I try to open the app for BT Desktop Help on my PC it says that I do not have explorer 6 or higher and it will not open. I am using WIn 10 with Edge. I thought that the programme worked with Win 10.

Win Live Mail lost some contacts

Desktop PC,Win 10,FF primary,IE secondary. I used Outlook mail on my XP laptop and liked it. When I got this PC I could not use Outlook and went to Live Mail. I do not find it to be user friendly like the old Outlook. Today I went to send an email and found about half of my contacts were missing and cant seem to recover them. I would like to download the free Outlook Mail and move my old emails over and create a single contact list that can be edited. Currently I have several different contact lists some of which can be edited and some not. When finished I would like to delete the old lists and Live Mail. Can this be done and how?
