  1. Cursor cannot highlight with Dual Monitors in Outlook

    Hello Microsoft.

I'm having a SPECIFIC problem with Microsoft software that does not occur with other types of software.

I have 2 monitors. A Sceptre 27" and a 32" LG. I have had other dual monitor setups before. The error I'm experiencing is with Microsoft products such as Word and Outlook where I attempt to double click on a word or highlight a word on the 32" Primary monitor and the cursor won't select. This does not happen on the 27" monitor and I can select. EVERY time my computer goes to sleep I experience this error, I have to go into settings and reset the font size to something OTHER than the recommended scale 150% and then flip it back to the recommended size.

I do not have this problem with other programs. For example, this particular post is being done via Google Chrome and I have no trouble double clicking on a word to select that word on the 32" monitor. I have other programs that do not have this problem. However, I still have the issue with Word and Outlook.

As you can see, this isn't a driver issue. I think this is a bug with MS programs. Please look into this and get back to me. I've seen other people post about this with no resolution offered by Microsoft. I've given you details on the 2 monitor issue that other folks have not. MS needs to look at this.

I haven't used my hotmail email in years. Another problem with this thread is that I can't put in my regularly used email so I probably won't know even if you do respond. It would also be nice if you allow responses in the community to something OTHER than a Microsoft email address!

    Thank you,

A frustrated user of Microsoft Outlook...

    :)

  2. Cursor Disappears with Dual Monitors in Outlook

I have stumped my IT guys. I am running dual monitors from my Lenovo laptop. I have an external USB mouse and keyboard and don't access the laptop keyboard or touchpad. When typing in Outlook mail, the cursor hides behind the windows on my main screen.
I cannot get it back to the mail window without dragging it to my 2nd screen and clicking on the task bar on the bottom, which them redirects it over to my Outlook window. Help, please!

  3. Cursor Disappears with Dual Monitors in Outlook

    Hi Janet,

This issue might have been caused by an incompatible mouse driver, or a software conflict. For us to isolate the issue, we would like to ask these questions:

    • What is the build number and version of your Windows?
    • Did the issue happens only in Outlook window?
    • Have you performed an in-place upgrade which was suggested by Kris Ver last March 9, 2018?

In the meantime, we suggest updating your mouse driver by following the steps given in this article:

    Update drivers in Windows 10
    .

We will wait for your response.
