Windows 10: Cursor is disappearing on second monitor

I am working on a laptop with an additional monitor and my cursor is disappearing only on the second monitor and specifically only in areas where I can type. For example: OneNote, sticky notes, and this text box that I am currently typing in. The cursor appears everywhere else on the screen and works completely fine on my laptop. The only way the cursor will show up is if I right click once, but then I have the little actions menu on my screen so it's not a good fix. I have already toggled the "hide pointer when typing" option off in the mouse settings but that didn't work. I have been using a

Cursor "cross" is transparent

Here's an update from my end:

This only happens on my laptop screen when it is plugged into a second monitor.

• If Excel is on the second monitor, then the cursor cross is white.
• If the laptop isn't plugged into the second monitor then the cursor cross is white.

I think the same happens on all Office applications - certainly PowerPoint as well.

From this ^^above, I doubt it is an Excel setting. Not really sure where to start looking for a fix. The issue is that it impedes the use of the application as you keep losing where the damn cursor is.

 

Both monitors work but cant drag to second one.

• Will it disappear or it won't allow you to put on second monitor?
• Is your computer up to date with Windows Updates? Press Windows logo key + R, type
  winver and hit Enter key. Now see the version and build number.
• Are you able to move cursor to second monitor?
• When did you observe this behavior?

My workaround is to use PowerPoint Screen Recorder but this need additional screen capture.

The reason for Screen Recorder is Windows 10 Mouse Cursor for Office Menu item disappear when select Screen Capture App. It is cumbersome to show Tech Support what is selected on Office App on captured screen...
