Windows 10: Cursor not displaying with screen capture or recorder or Zoom

I have a CAD program where in different parts of the screen the pointer will not display. The pointer / cursor will display correctly in all the menu items. It is actually there but has the same color as the background. When I move away from that background the cursor / pointer will be the color as set by Windows in cursor. I have changed the cursor color but any cursor modifications do not resolve the issue. This issue exists with various versions of Windows 10 on different computers. The same program will work perfectly on Windows 7. I believe it is not a hardware issue and not my program issue.


Does anyone have insight to a resolution?

TPU Capture Auto Zoom

Not sure where else to post this since it isn't listed in the TPU Software section. But when I hit print screen it instantly zooms in. If I try to take a fullscreen shot it only takes the zoomed in window. Any ideas here?

When you say Screen recorder are you referring to Problem Step recorder?

Steps Recorder is a feature which can automatically capture the steps you take on the computer. It also creates a text description of where you clicked and
the screen shot during each click. To get more information about the Step recorder feature please check the steps below.

How to open and use Steps Recorder:

• In the search bar type Step recorder and click on it.
• At the right side of steps recorder, click on the
  dropdown arrow.
• Choose Settings to continue.
• Under settings Name the file and specify
  saved location.
• In the Steps Recorder Settings dialog box, click Browse button.
• Name output file, choose file type (e.g
  ZIP Files or XML Files), specify saved location and click
  Save.
• After making the above changes Enable Screen Capture option by selecting
  “YES”.
• Set number of screen captures and click on OK. (By default the number of screen capture is set to 25.)
• You can use the features of step recording like Start Record, Pause Record, Resume Record, Add Comment
  and Stop Record while using the step recorder.
• Later you can check for the output of the file that you have worked on.
  

Note: You will not be able to create short videos of the screen recording using this application.

Steps Recorder does not capture UAC and installation pop up screens. Win10

Hello:

In order to document installation of software for later package creation and distribution within the company, I was told that the built in Step Recorder was the "preferred tool"

So first off, I try to document the installation of Chrome (legacy software requirement, not supported) and download the offline installation package to a local drive.

I start the Recorder. I go thru the steps, close out a UAC screen, approve defaults, software installs.

I stop the recorder, save the output file.

When I open it, the only thing captured is the intial screen and the Double Click step on the installation executable. Nothing else including approval of the installation on the UAC popup, was captured.

Installed as a domain level Administrator, on Windows 10.
