Windows 10: Cursor scrolls up when background changes - please help!

After upgrade to windows 10 from 8.1, whenever the background changes (slideshow) any open window that is at all scrolled down will instantly return to the top position of the scroll bar.

I've tried uninstalling mouse drivers, using a different mouse, running troubleshooter, connecting to different USB ports, etc...

Please help, this is very frustrating. Why does it do this when the background slideshow changes? So strange!

Clicking on text in Edge shows up the flashing cursor of text editing

Whenever I click on any text in Edge, it shows up the flashing cursor that appears when you are writing to indicate you where you are on your text. It's sometimes annoying when you're scrolling down a page because if you click on the background, for instance,
there's a chance that the cursor goes on the top of the page, making the page scrolling up...

It's a big problem for navigation I think, does anyone know a fix?

• When you're not changing the background, do you still encounter the issue?

Anyone having this problem:

Go to personalization, colors, and turn off the auto color select option. Fixed.

 

Is there no other way at all to keep the auto colour select option on and not have it reset the scroller? I like the constant changing of colours.*chuckle
