Windows 10: Cursor wont cross to next monitor, help please.

I got a 4 monitor setup for my PC, set up as a square formation. When moving my mouse vertically to another monitor it's so seamless, but moving gently, horizontally between left and right or right to left, the cursor refuses to transition to the next monitor, unless I pullback and quickly flick to the next monitor.please help.windows 10, gtx 30702x dell E2222H top monitors, 1920 x 10802x BenQ ZOWIE RL2455 bottom monitors, 1920 x 1080

Cursor "cross" is transparent

Hi RR and thanks for your reply and suggestion.

Here's an update from my end:

This only happens on my laptop screen when it is plugged into a second monitor.

• If Excel is on the second monitor, then the cursor cross is white.
• If the laptop isn't plugged into the second monitor then the cursor cross is white.

I think the same happens on all Office applications - certainly PowerPoint as well.

From this ^^above, I doubt it is an Excel setting. Not really sure where to start looking for a fix. The issue is that it impedes the use of the application as you keep losing where the damn cursor is.

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

1. Did you make any changes to the PC prior to this issue?
   
2. Do you see the cursor as cross on the plain desktop screen or in a notepad?
   

This issue might occur due to some system files not working as expected. They might be broken or damaged.

You may follow these steps to change the mouse pointers to default and check if that makes any difference:

1. Open Control Panel and click on Mouse icon.
   
2. Click/tap on the Pointers tab and Under Customize, select a pointer you want to change.
   
3. Click/tap on Use Default if you want to change the pointer to use the default pointer for it.
   
4. Click/tap on Apply to make the change to see how you like it.
   
5. When done, click/tap on OK to apply and close Mouse Properties. Remember to restart the computer to check if that helps.

Cross mouse cursor does not allow scroll in All Apps

Thank you for the response Graeme.

It was also not working in File Explorer, but is now.

It works everywhere else.

I originally changed it to a cross from the default options available.

I had also changed the cursor on "link select" to a cross I had downloaded from Cross Cursor, at the same time.

Before I contacted you, I had tried all six cross options in the cursor selections.

I then downloaded a new cross from the same website.

Then with your suggestion, I changed it back to an arrow from the available options.

Still will not scroll in All Apps, unless I click on the black space to the left of the apps.
