Windows 10: Custom audio not working in Microsoft Video Editor / Microsoft photos

I have exactly the same problem as described below. I'm working on a brand new machine and have no history before with the video editor. One song is loading fine the light blue line at the beginning of the video, even though I cannot extend it over the whole video. Second song is 'stuck' showing the markers. Cannot move the markers apart, it does not load any actual music. Tried to register the app, update my machine, reboot, retry with different files etc.. but the result remains the same. Both files are .mp3. I spent so much time on the video now getting stuck with the audio part. HELP?

Issues with Microsoft photo editor

3. What exactly happen when you try to use the Photo editor?
   
4. Which version of Windows are you currently using?
   

I understand you are facing issues with Photo editor application, if you are using the Photo editor app which is downloaded from Microsoft Store, I suggest you to refer the following article and try few troubleshooting
steps to fix issues with Photo editor
and check if that helps.

Microsoft has replaced Photo Editor with Microsoft Office Picture Manager, a new photo editing and cataloging program in Office 2010, in Office 2007, and in Office 2003.

If the application has been removed from your PC, when you install Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Office 2007, or Microsoft Office 2003, I suggest you to refer the following article to reinstall

Photo Editor and check if that helps.

Add background music to parts of video in Microsoft Video Editor

Thank you. That does help. Can you suggest a tutorial video that can help me learn how to use this app? I keep seeing Photos recommended, but that seems more difficult to me for editing videos. Thank you.

 

How to upload my own personal audio in Microsoft Photo's "Background music" (not Custom audio)?

Thanks for responding. Custom audio is used to use your own audio file for the video. Means if you want to narrate something for the video, you can record your audio and use it for custom audio. Background music you can use from the list of tracks, Microsoft
provided.

I have created my video like the same way. I used a mild background music from Microsoft's default audio library and on top of that, I have uploaded my own narration as custom audio. But the file which we import from custom audio, won't become a part of
background music. Please see the attachment in my question, that will give you little idea.

The older version of Photos had that capability, but I am now using the latest version of Photos.
