Windows 10: custom desktop not turning on right....

i built my gaming rig maybe 6 months ago have a prime z370p i5 9600k gtx 1060 armour n 16 gb ram 600 w psu and a 2 tb hdd a 500 gb m.2 ssd and a 1 tb hdd ... now every morning and after every shut down when i go to start it up after I press button the ram and lights on my board and fans will turn on for half a sec then shut down then after another 3-5 sec it fully starts up so I'm curious y it wont just boot right up why take the extra steps?

Customize icons on desktop toolbar

Please follow the below steps to turn on the notification for volume icon in the taskbar.

• Right click on the Start menu and select Control Panel and type the word 'taskbar' in the search box from the upper-right side. Once the search results are loaded, click on the link that says
  Customize the taskbar.
• Then select Customize under Notification Area.
• Click on Turn system icons on or off and toggle the option for Volume to
  on

The Volume Mixer icon will now show up in the notification area of your taskbar.

fllckering desktop

Hi Yvonne,

To resolve your issue with flickering desktop, we suggest that you update your display drivers with the steps listed below:

• Right-click Start, then select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters to find the name of your device.
• Right-click the device and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow steps to update display drivers.

Desktop Icons Won't Stay Put

As per the issue description I understand that you are facing issues with desktop icons.

I suggest you try the following step in order to arrange the icons.

• Right click on the desktop.
• Click on view
• Check the option auto arrange icons.
