  1. Customized Scaling Factor per Monitor in Windows 10 other than sets of 25% ?

I'm looking for a solution to customize the text scaling factor across 2 different monitors in Windows 10.

The previous answer from MS is "you can do this and Windows 10 remembers it" isn't correct for what I want.

That answer only relates to the MS approach of having huge 25% increments in each display profile.

They also say if I want customization you can have it, but then their implementation forces the same customization

across all monitors which is grossly unacceptable with different sized monitors. Their help sections suggest using the

same sized monitors which is not acceptable to me and a lame answer.

If they can do that in 25% increments per profile why I can't we get a better solution and answer from MS on

how to scale in increments in a value that I exactly want per monitor saved to each monitor's profile -

just like the canned 25% set range ? It can't be that hard in the OS since they already handle different scaling factors

per monitor. There's nothing magical about 25% either.

Apparently MS doesn't care about this problem with larger monitors to actually implement a better solution and
allow us to enter any value we want per monitor.

The issue is apparently related to older smaller and lower definition monitors when a 25% increment was just fine.
With larger HD and UHD monitors, I want my text scaling factor to be set to exactly to my own personal taste -
not shoehorned by MS into buckets of 25% per monitor.

MS should pay less attention to Icon eye candy design for their Cloud OS mantra, and more attention to
finer technical details like this one in their existing OS to make it actually usable in real life scenarios.

    :)

Higher (custom?) scaling factor for ONE monitor

My laptop screen is scaled at 300% which must stay that way.

I've just connected an external monitor that I need to scale to 200% or more, to make it comfortable. But Windows arbitrarily only lets me pick as much as 175% and recommends even less. The thing is, I'm quite a distance from this monitor, and Windows cannot
know this, so how can Windows make any kind of recommendation in the first place??

Therefor, I feel it is wrong to supply only an arbitrary set of selectable scaling factors. Increments of 25% are fine, but just remove the intelligence and let users select 100%-500% for every monitor in every situation. It could not be simpler.

    So here's the question:

How can I keep my primary monitor scaled at 300%, while setting 200% for an external monitor?

Mind you, setting a custom scaling factor will set it for ALL monitors without the option to set them individually. Another big oversight.

Note to MS: please try not to be intelligent. From the dawn of Windows, this has been a source of irritation for many users, and here's (insert big sigh here...) yet another example.

Also mind you, as this issue is about scaling, I would primarily classify this as an accessibility issue.

How to disable the "Custom Scale Factor is Set" option

I am attaching my laptop (Thinkpad T 460S) to an external monitor and extending the display. I go to change the display setting because I prefer my icons to be a bit smaller, however in the scale and layout section it says in red letters A custom scale
factor is set and Turn off custom scaling and sign out (blue letters). When I choose the option to turn off custom scaling and sign out, it does sign me out and adjust the size of the icons to 125%. However when I reboot my computer the original custom scale
factor appears and I have to sign out again to have the display as I like it.

Is there a way to permanently disable the custom scale factor and not have to reboot my computer ever time?
