    How do I copy and paste files from pc to ext drive without pasting duplicates of files already in the ext drive.

    Cannot Paste a File after Cut or Copy a File because Paste is not available

    None of the suggestions have changed the situation. I still cannot cut or copy a FILE and then paste it. Paste is greyed out and cannot be selected. Is there a way that I can be sure the CUT or COPY is moving the data to the clipboard?

    Like I said in my original problem description, I can cut or copy and paste DATA from within applications, but not FILES from within File Explorer.

    Thanks for any help you may give me.

    Cut & Paste becomes copy&paste

    After booting up, cut&paste works fine. But after using my Windows 10 PC for a while, cut and paste successfully pastes the file to target location but fails to delete the source files. So effectively, cut&paste becomes copy&paste.

    This happens after I've run multiple applications after a while. Normally, I'd have Winamp, ACDSee, Windows Explorer running with a few others already in the background like Bandicam, gog galaxy, etc. I sometimes run into this problem and sometimes don't
    during a session of moving about my files. But cut&paste for long enough, I'll eventually run into it. I've tried to find a pattern but couldn't find any scenario that triggers this behavior. The only thing I can do is close everything and reboot. This is
    very annoying.

    I searched and searched and only found issues regarding copy&paste not cut&paste. At this point what can I do and is a fix in the works?

    Cannot Paste a File after Cut or Copy a File because Paste is not available

    I am running Windows 10. Using File Exp;orer, I right-click on a filename and COPY. Then I go to another folder and right-click to paste the file. However, Paste is greyed-out. So is Paste-Special. I can drag and drop but not CUt and Pate nor Copy and Paste.

    From within applications such as notepad, cut and paster and copy and paste work file.

    Please help.
