Windows 10: cut copy paste rename delete and properties not working on files / folders in windows 11

When i right-click on an file or folder the menu items: cut copy, paste, rename, delete and properties are completely missing from the context menu including the old menu with you get when you click show more options, the options still in

after upgrading the windows into windows 10 I have many problems first I cannot rename any folder or file, cannot see their properties, can not cut and paste any file or folder from the laptop to any external device such as USB flash memory can not delete
any folder or file, then I tried to restore and backup windows 7 and it did not work also I do not know where the problem is?

 

Cut and Paste procedure is NOT "cutting"

Hi. I am engaged in a lengthy exercise to shift a heap of files from RAR-type folders to normal folders.

I am cutting-and-pasting. However, Windows is NOT cutting, it is copying and pasting and I then have to go back to delete the file.

Why O why O why will this. !%^$% system not do as it is told. Have we slowly morphed into an Apple lookalike where nerds "know" what is best for us?

When I "cut", I want it cut!

Anyone know why this is occurring?

Moved a folder from another drive and rename and it still shows as the old folder name in certain places

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check the behavior.

• Create a new folder name it as 'My Videos'.
• Now copy/cut and paste the contents which are in the folder "Videos", and delete the folder "Videos".
• Now check the behavior.
