Windows 10: CutePDF not going to print file option

Running windows 10 and my CutePDF writer stopped going to Print option.

What software are you using that displays the chm files?

CutePDF writer allows a person to print to PDF if the software allows you to print to a printer. That's one option.

 

Default application for printing PDF files

I had a problem with my Surface Pro PC (Windows 10 and Business Office 365 up to date).

After an upgrade, the start screen icons would not operate, in emails attachments would not print, and in the search box nothing happened when an entry made.

These problems were solved by various measures including stopping using Edge, and changing various print options.

But this included changing my default PDF printer from a third party program that I have used for years, CutePDF, to one of the choices in the Microsoft store.

I want to use the CutePDF program, but when I to Settings, Choose default application by file type, and select file type .pdf, the only choices I am given are a list not including CutePDF, and the options to go to the store. Which does not contain CutePDF.

How can I use the program I want - CutePDF.

What is really annoying is that on another of my PCs, an old Dell, the upgrade did not cause problems, and I have always used CutePDF and still do use it.

So how can I make my Surface PC use CutePDF as the default for .pdf files.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to print documents in the Windows 10 and check if it helps:

Step 1:

1. Open Photo gallery and click on the photo that you want to print.

2. Click on the file tab from the top left side of the page.

3. Next select print and again print.

you will be able to print.

If however you are unable to find the print option then follow step 2.

Step 2:

• Once the document/picture is open in, press
  Ctrl+P.
• Click Print as PDF button.
• Check if the document prints as expected.
