Windows 10: cyclic redundancy check. error 1603 fatal error during installation

attempting to install Age of Empires 3, however I am consistently faced with cyclic redundancy checkfatal error 1603 during installation, any suggestions to actually solve this problem would be much appreciated.thank you

Fatal Error

I've been trying to format my system but right after it finishes formatting I get a Fatal Error during the Windows installation process. That Fatal Error is a Data Error (cyclic redundancy check). I know that it's because of my hard drives, but how do I fix this issue? I have 2 Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB SATA II Hard Drives in RAID 0. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. *Smile

 

Age of Empires 3 data cyclic redundancy/fatal error 1603

I have recently purchased a new computer and tried to install Age of Empires 3 on it. Every time I have tried installing it, it gets to updating component registration and then stops and say data cyclic redundancy/fatal error 1603. I have looked up various
solutions and causes for the problem and nothing seems to work. I have plenty of space on my computer for the files, i'm pretty sure the destination folder is not encrypted, and i have full access. I absolutely loved this game and really want to play it
again. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Use something like CrystalDiskInfo to check SMART on the drive, however if this is an older IDE drive, SMART might not be supported. Cyclic redundancy errors are almost always uncorrectable disk errors. I suspect that the drive is failing juding from the symptoms you described.
