Windows 10: Cyrillic text unintelligible and untranslatable

WINDOWS 11 I've recently downloaded a Russian application. The text it displays is a weird, corrupted version of Cyrillic and even after downloading the Russian language pack from Windows and installing all optional Windows updates it is still corrupted. Help would be appreciated.

Problem with encoding Cyrillic Text in Email

I have Nokia Lumia 920.

I have a Bulgarian email account which receives some emails with Cyrillic text content which is displayed as gibberish.

Can I change the text encoding in Windows Phone mail client or what should I do in order to view the text properly. I am first time windows phone owner and I love it so far, but I never had this problem with my Iphone.

 

Windows 10 Notepad opens txt files with Cyrillic text as garbage

1. To solve this problem you should use Notepad ++.

2. Open the damaged file with Notepad ++.

3. Set new encoding from menu Encoding / Character set / Cyrillic / Windows-1251.

4. Copy all the text (when setting of your language is RUS or another Cyrillic) and paste it into MS Word.

5. Then again copy all the text from MS Word and paste it into Notepad.

6. Now need to save the file with Encoding: Unicode.

7. Already the file is OK.

There may be an easier way, but this works for me.

To enable text suggestion on your Lumia 640, you may follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings under your App list.

2. Search for Keyboard.

3. Tap the keyboard you're using to make changes.

4. Check the checkbox for "Suggest text".
