    D: disk usage randomly jumps to 100% usage, have to restart my PC to fix.


    Using my PC as normal (web browsing, maybe playing a few games) my D: disk usage will hit the roof and stay there indefinitely. Any way I can either prevent this or see what’s hogging the disk?

    100% disk usage

    The most common cause of 100% disk usage appears to be Superfetch and Prefetch, but there are also other causes. You can try disabling both these features and see if it helps.

    100 % disk usage

    When I boot up laptop its already at 100% then it settles down but when i connect wifi or open any app it again jumps to 100% then it settles down but sometimes it also jumps up to 100% in ideal conditions i have being monitoring this with crystal disk
    info when disk usage is 100% my hard disk temperature is rising and when Disk usage settles down hard disk temperature comes down crystal disk info is showing Hard disk condition good
