Windows 10: D: Drive is missing

Hello! My laptop ran out of charge before yesterday so I charged it and opened it up, then I suddenly found that my D: Drive which contains all my games and important files is missing. It's been 2 days now and I have yet to find an actual working solution. Someone please help!

• Type-in the following command:

• Press Enter to execute the command.

If you think that there is nothing important stored in it, then we suggest that you reformat your D drive so that you can use the free space for important files.

You can follow the steps below to start with the process:

• Click on the File Explorer.
• Select This PC.
• Right-click on your D drive, then click on Format.
• Follow the on-screen process to finish formatting the partition.

Before we proceed, I would like to know more about the issue. Please answer the following questions to help you better.

• Have you used any third party software to manage Disk partition?
• Did you format the drive?
• What is the make and model of your computer?

I suggest you to check for the drive in Disk Management
and see if it appears there. Follow the steps:

• Log on as administrator or as a member of the Administrators group.
• Press Windows + R key and type
  diskmgmt.msc, and then click OK.
• See if the drive D: appears.
  

Also run the hardware and troubleshooter
and check if it helps.

• 
  Press “Windows Key + R”, type
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Then type “Troubleshooter” in the Search box and hit enter.
  
• 
  Select “Hardware and Sound” from the Troubleshooter Window.
