Windows 10: D: Hard drive disappeared in windows 10 laptop

My D drive disappeared in my Windows 10 Asus Tuf gaming laptop. This issue started when I downloaded a game from the Epic Games store and when it was at around 60-70% of the downloading progress, it suddenly hung the Epic Games store and while checking I found D drive had disappeared. I restarted and then tried to reinstall and while reinstalling the Epic Games store, in the middle of reinstallation the D drive again disappeared.Now I check somthing on online for the solution but it didn't resolve anything. D drive only showed in BIOS and after coming out of BIOS. It showed on popup window wit

My D Drive just disappeared. Using Windows 10. anyone have any suggestions on how to find my disk?

I am a college student and need my drive quickly

 

Drive D disappeared spontaneously on Alienware Laptop

Hello. My Drive D (pretty sure it is SSD) has disappeared on my laptop. Please note that it has also disappeared from disk management. There were no prior symptoms. It was simply missing when I started the computer this morning.I have important files on that drive.

  Is the D: drive located on the same hard disk or on different hard disk?
  
• 
  Did you have any important data saved on the
  D: drive?
  

If the D: is saved on another hard disk and you are unable to access it, I suggest you to format the drive completely and check if the issue is resolved.



To format the hard disk, follow the steps below:

• 
  Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Disk management option.
  
• 
  Right click on the D: drive and select
  Format option.
  
• 
  Wait for the formatting to complete and check if the changes are effective.
