Hello, I have been having issues with BSOD, and I believe it's related to Defender.I have verified that the RAM and the motherboard are good. The crash and associated logs updated.https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/wj8j2gvova0b4vexr78we/AKIuGXuaUzsnZ3Bj8Lg6jcc?rlkey=c0hlobw5mb15z4p72qrmut2yn&st=ssk34biv&dl=0Is there a conflict going on between NordVPN and Defender?

  2. DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1) BSOD | DUAL MONITORS

    Hi Korey,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

Are you able to boot to your system?

Blue screens (BSOD) is mostly occur due to hardware and sometimes due to incompatible software. In a lot of cases it is a corrupted driver or a driver conflict. The most common causes of blue screens are overheating, faulty RAM,
    and video card problem.

I suggest you to update all your drivers. You can update drivers from the Device Manager.

Follow the steps to update drivers from the Device Manager:

    • Right click on Start button, type
      Device Manager and Enter.

    • Find the drivers which needs to be installed and also see if there are any warning symbols. If yes update the drivers.

    • Right click and click on
      Properties
, and go to Driver tab and click on Update driver.

If you still face the issue you can check if you need to update the chipset drivers and also load default setting in BIOS.

    BIOS DISCLAIMER -

I suggest you please go to the below link suggestion provided Sharath Srinivasa
and try the steps. The steps are for Black screen but you may also try the steps and check if it helps:

    d1 BSOD

    BsOD Code :- d1

    BSOD CODE :- 0x000000D1

    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen

    Code: d1

    Parameter 1: ffffd98cc8bd8000

    Parameter 2: 2

    Parameter 3: 0

    Parameter 4: fffff803b7372688

I was gaming on my Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 15ACH6

    Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics (3.2 GHz - 4.4 GHz)

    Nvidia RTX 3050 Laptop GPU

    16 GB 3200Mhz RAM

When i alt tabbed to desktop ( everything was fine at this point ) and opened Google to search something and thats when i was hit with this BSOD ( game was running in the background) so i just wanted to know if this is a real issue which i should be worried about or not because this is the first time its happened to me for this particular error atleast and would this have any impact on my system performance ?

I ran a maintenance check from Windows control panel on it and it came out okay with no issues seen.

And also what does this code mean?

After the blue screen windows restarted and i launched the game again (Sea Of Thieves) and opened steam, xbox app and discord while the game was running in the background which worked without any issues but did not try to use google due to the traumatic BsOD that took place.

    Any help is much appreciated.
