Windows 10: DAC X6 USB connection getting lost

I have a FX-Audio DAC External Amplifier connected to the PC through USB. I see the SPDIF connection on the Sound Output. I am facing a problem with the volume output in case the PC sleeps or the Sound output is switched. I can only hear a slight sound if I bump up the volume on the external Amp and the Windows Sound tray. To increase the volume, I have to remove the power and USB and reconnect. I have tried by changing the Headphones and USB Ports. I have heard that this same issue is experienced by few other users of Windows 10/11 on other external amplifiers such as the Schiit Hel as well.

Network Adapter Crashing with USB DAC/VPN

Hi everyone, so anytime i connect ANY of my three USB DACs to W10 the internet connection drops and I need to trouble shoot and it reset the network adapter. At first i thought this was just the USB
DACs, but recently my VPN when connected also cuts internet off too. After reading about and getting nowhere I saw someone suggest using Event Manager tool. So I went thru the process of attaching USB DAC and waiting for the crash then observed the steps on
Events Mgr.

I basically got

> Warning 1014 DNS CLIENT EVENTS - Name resolution for the name website.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.

I've looked at some fixes but they seem a bit 'programmy' lol.

Any help much appreciated

 

Schiit Hel usb DAC not recognized

I have been having similar issues in Windows 11 with my Hel 2, and while it's not pretty the following has worked for me:

1. Unplug the USB from the computer and flip the DAC power off
   
2. Power the DAC back on and wait a minute
   
3. Plug the USB back in
   

When that fails (and it does sometimes with symptoms of popping/crackling sounds and audio skipping) SHUT DOWN Windows, don't restart do a full power off, power off the DAC, boot Windows back up then power on the DAC. Really irritating, I am certain it's not an issue with the DAC as it works flawlessly on the same computer/USB port in Ubuntu and it only started happening recently after some update.

 

Windows 10 problem with USB DAC

I have a USB DAC (digital-to-analog converter) that allows me to play music through my speakers.

It has worked fine for a long while but recently it has started to abruptly stop working randomly (over 10 times per day).

I can get it to work again if I:

• Unplug the DAC from usb and immediately replug it in.
• Disable and them immediately enable the device in the windows "playback devices" window.

I have tried:

• Uninstalling and reinstalling Nvidia high definition sound drivers
• Disable USB selective suspend setting (this is a PC not a laptop).
• Troubleshoot sound problems

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: The device is this one:

EHP-O2D Miniature Desktop Headphone Amplifier with USB DAC - Sound Manual

It is plug and play and I have never installed drivers for it.
