Windows 10: Daily Blue Screens on new build.

    Daily Blue Screens on new build.


    About once or twice a day, with no consistency regarding time or activity, my new build blue screens. I don't know much about how to troubleshoot it beyond installing all latest drivers for the hardware I purchased and making sure windows updates are up to date, which has not resolved the issue. Unfortunately, I don't have spare parts that I can do isolation testing with either.I did however get a dump file, but I wasn't able to make heads or tails of it when I tried using the WinDbg tool. The dump did show a DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER error, which obviously sounds like I have a driver prob

    Hi,

    Blue screen errors can occur if a serious problem causes Windows to shut down or restart unexpectedly. This error can be caused by both hardware and software issues. To isolate your concern, we'd like to know if there were any changes made
    prior to the issue.

    I have tried all of the options there, Which is why i included in my post the lists of things that i performed to isolate the cause of bsod. Thanks

    PC Build Steps

    Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??
