Windows 10: Daily BSOD

Hello.

One week ago 02/02 I started having a BSOD basically daily.

Every time the BSOD came up the computer was idle/under light load, never at high load.

The error message was mostly "IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL" and stuff related to amdppm.sys.

Two days ago I found the suggested fix to put the value "4" to Start in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\AmdPPM.

So I did, and for one day I had zero issues.

Today another BSOD appeared saying "DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION".


I honestly don't know what to do. All the drivers are up to date, and all my hardware is pretty new around June or so.


My config is:

Ryzen 5 3600

Msi X470 Gaming Plus Max

Crucial Ballistix 2x8GB 3600 Mhz

Geforce RTX 2070 Super


Windows is installed on a relatively old SSD 4-5 years old, plus I have another SSD M2 Nvme and 1TB Hard disk.

BSOD DPC_Watchdog_Violation daily

Those steps are not relevant to me. In those steps it asks to check the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers for iastore.sys in the listed drivers.

I do not have iastore as a driver nor is that the files causing the BSOD.

The driver that is causing it (I got this from BlueScreenView) is nvstore.sys which is listed as the driver for three identical items in 'storage controllers' There are 4 items there. 3 of them are called NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller. Those three
all list this nvstore.sys as their driver.

I suspect that if I could replace or fix that driver it would solve the issue based on the advice given by Annanya. Does that sound right? If so, how would I go about it?
