    Daily Windows 11 task randomly fails to run, yet last execution status shows as successful.


    I have a Windows 11 task that is set up to run daily. It is a task that I have been running for years with no issues. Starting last month September 2023, it randomly misses a daily run, and the last run indicates a successful execution. The task parameters are unchanged. What is causing this task to randonmly fail to run every so often and yet show no signs of an execution error in the Task Scheduler?

    To assist you better, kindly provide us more details by answering the following questions:

    • Have you tried recreating the task? If so, are you getting the same issue?
    • Have you tried creating a new task?
    Meanwhile, we suggest that you ensure that the Task Scheduler is running. You can verify if the service is running by following these steps:

    • Press Windows key + R on your keyboard.
    • Type services.msc and hit Enter.
    • Under Services (Local), make sure that the Task Scheduler service's status is
      Started or Enabled.

    Execute a command from SCCM Task sequence step "Run a Command line"

    Hi,

    Thanks for your suggestion.

    That will work indeed, however I need to run it from the SCCM Task Sequence's Run Command Line Step and I am not able to figure out how to do that.

    Can we change line while executing command from SCCM Task Sequence's Run Command Line Step?

    Randomly failing to load webpages?

    On my computer, Google Chrome, IE9 and Firefox 4 all randomly fail to load webpages. A few quick points:

    • This happens even on a fresh install of Windows (and on my previous install as well)
    • I thought it might have been my ISP's DNS server failing, so I switched to Google DNS and it still randomly fails
    • My router is a homemade machine featuring a 2GHz P4 Celeron, 256MB SDR memory, and a 512MB CF card as the hard drive running the generic x86 DD-WRT client
    • I've rebooted my modem/router many times and the problem persists
    • I am no longer using my surge protector to protect my modem, the coaxial cable runs straight from the wall to the modem
    What should I do?
