    Damaged windows and now problems to enter Windows


    Hi, since last week I had been facing dll file errors before on my system and could not open some applications and also getting bad image error. Now I can't log into my system and I'm stuck at the welcome screen. Usually the password bar shows when I press a key, but it is not now. I think it is because my Windows is corrupted and I guess I will have to reinstall Windows and need help with that. I also want to backup my files as it is important, but I can't log into my PC and I need help with that too.

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
