Windows 10: Danish language ALREADY installed as "Spoken Language" as also fx English UK but evenso it...

Danish language is installed as "Spoken Language" as also fx English UK but it is NOT SHOWN in the drop Down Menu!!My MS W10 says that there's already installed Danish language as/for: Package, Text-to-speech, Speech_recognition, handwriting, spell_control, .. Also I tried to reconfigure and naturally restart the machine for every action.What's wrong - anyone please?BR. K. Vitas

Can anyone help?

I'm having two related issues here. I cannot seem to convert the PDF to Word (as there is the language problem) and I cannot translate a doc from Danish to English unless it's in Word format.

 

problems installing the English UK language pack in Windows

I have tried to install the UK English language pack several times and it just tells me after some time that it was not possible !!!

I have today succeeded to install both the US English and the Danish language pack, (it is an Italian PC) and can pick and choose between these three languages to communicate with the PC . BUT the UK English strangely does NOT
display in the dialogue box that it downloads the language pack, as seen with the other languages, but writes only that it installs the L pack and the update 1 of 1 (aggionamento). And after a lengthy period writes that it did not succeed to install.

I have read this manual below and done as said, but it only tells me that the language pack for UK English is available – and then it drops out when I click on Download and install.

Not satisfactory, and strange that all works well with two other languages !

I NEED THE UK ENGLISH to be able to run speech recognition and dictate text which the PC then writes in a document, because speech recognition only works when the OS language is the same as I wish to speak. (US English is not
a solution, I speak and write in UK English) .

Do you have a bug in this particular language pack that can be fixed, please?

Follow the below steps to install the Italian language pack.

Step 1:

1. Press Windows + I keys on the keyboard to open Settings menu.

2. Click on Time and language in settings window.

3. Click on Region and language from left navigation pane.

4. Click on Add a language (+ symbol)

5. Select Italian language pack.

6. Now, click on Italian language pack and click on Set a default button under the Region
and language from left navigation pane.

Step 2:

1. Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard, select Control panel.

2. Type Language in the search bar located at the top right corner of Control panel and click on language.

3. Click on the Italian language pack on the Language window.

4. Click on Download and install language pack button under Italian language pack.

5. Enter the administrator password if prompted.

6. Click on Save button.

 

Typing language problem

Why is Use language list only showing UK, and not US as another option in view of the steps I have taken to install it and put it at the top of my list? What is the' language bar', referred to? I don't think I have ever seen it, or am not recognising it if I had. And why is Keyboard shown as English UK when Settings is opened?
