Windows 10: Dark Mode Imperfections

The dark mode of the file explorer is welcome and should already have been standard in all OS for years for eye health and energy saving. The dark high-contrast mode as never been a clean solution. However, some things in the dark mode still follow the concept of white mode. For example:


1, the shadow of one window over the other is still dark when it should be clear, which makes it useless;

2, the infotip background is now dark and confused with the elements behind it, which does not happen in white mode;

3, the refresh button, which was already too far away from the navigation buttons, seems more inaccessible even in the dark mode;

4, the movie thumbnails got the film strips far larger than the thumbnail itself, confusing the organization in extra large view mode.


I know these are design issues and could be posted in the Feedback Hub, but what I would like to know is: does anyone know of some temporary registry hack to fix any of these imperfections and not have to wait until MS decides to enhance the dark mode?

Dark Mode

I was using dark mode before 1809, but with this update file explorer also has dark mode.

It there any option to disable dark mode on that specific program?

 

How to auto-set Application Mode (dark-light)?
