Windows 10: dark mode on everything windows

well i dont know if im in the right place but ill stick it here anyway in the hopes microsoft see's and does somthing


dark mode should be enabled on EVERYTHING windows related by the click of that dark mode button in settings .start menu .start menu search , task manager , system information, the right click options , the clock , ABSOLUTELY EVERTHING .i see with an insider build they added it to file explorer and the mail ..but on the mail its only partly ..still we are getting somwhere right ? ..i just hate white backgrounds with black text it drives me bonkers

please Microsoft start and add what i have listed above plus what ever else is white background with black text ..thanks you



yes i know you can just go on to the high contrast settings ..but its really not the same and sends the task bar stupid imo

i tried playing around with the colours for at least an hour i just cant find the right balance and i want to keep the look of standard task bar

yes there are 3 rd party app that can change all this too ..but i really dont like the look of those either none of what i can find is just simple black background with white text or if its close it just makes my task bar horrible looking or the clock or so forth

just simple dark mode is all i want in windows its 2019 this should come as standard on every device software and os but it isnt ..so please Microsoft add the dark mode to everything in windows

YouTube’s hidden Dark Mode

• Make sure you have the most recent version of Google Chrome (that’s version 57 onwards)
• Open up the developer window by hitting Ctrl + Shift + I on Windows, or Option + Command + I on Mac
• Select the “console” tab

• Close the developer window, refresh your browser, and the dark mode toggle is available in the main settings menu in the top right."

File Explorer Dark Mode

Hi AlvinMorris2,

The Dark mode will change some of your device settings and default apps theme color to black. Thus, leaving some settings on its original color and appearance. I personally set my desktop color to Dark Mode and it also did not change the
File Explorer to black. See image below:

How to auto-set Application Mode (dark-light)?
