Windows 10: Dark Theme Windows Update [Suggestion / Rant]

The latest windows 10 update was just released. The first thing I noticed was that dark theme is available for File Explorer.


I like having everything else on dark theme except for file explorer. It's horrible and I can hardly read any of the writing.

Is there a way to enable light mode only for File Explorer? If not can we please have that?

After years of using windows 10 it's terribly unfair and disrespectful to just switch it up one day and not provide the option for the consumer to choose.

Hmmm..., strange. I don't know what to suggest.
Maybe a reboot?

i would like to suggest for future theme colors for the home page:

dark grey, and light grey, and black.

Dark Theme no longer works after November update

Hi,

Thank you for coming back to us with the information.

Let’s try uninstalling/reinstalling the theme and check if this helps. Follow the below steps.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on Programs and features, locate for the Dark theme, right click on it and click on
  Uninstall.
  
• 
  Now try installing it again and check.
