How to view .DAT video file?

In your post #16 the 2nd pic is showing an "Unsupported Audio" message.
That suggests to me that your .dat files may be video files.
The zip file you uploaded further suggests they are segments from a video file.
SM player plays the files with a message they were " Created with Nero"

all my dat files run a video editor

i downloaded a video editor witch can covert the edited videos to dat files but i did not these dat to run the program files and any new dat files also open the video editor then to tries to convert it i would like them to return to the way they were before
to the default .dat file
