Windows 10: Data file migration from Windows 7 to Windows 11

I am in the process of transferring data files from a Win7 PC to a Win11 PC. The WIN 11 files are located on the "D" drive.Did I make a mistake in placing them there?I doesn't seem as if they are found when I click on the the icon for Pictures. Did I make a mistake in locating them?I'd like to resolve this before I add applications like Photoshop Elements.

Installing Windows 7 via USB flash drive!

if you have the disk its as simple as selecting all the files on it and copying them to the drive. But copying files is the last step. You must set the drive up first. You cant copy like your windows folder or any of the windows files on your PC to the drive. That wont work. Of course this is all legit right? Like you own windows 7?
