Windows 10: Data validation for multiple cells

Hello Just wondering if there is a way to assign multiple cells with the same data validation formula as currently I have this formula that is set up for one cell =ORISNUMBERCell,cell=‘’ASAP”Which means people can only enter the date as DD/MM/YYYY or as ASAPCell is obviously referencing the exact cell I have the data validation formula setup for however I am wanting to apply this to multiple cells but don’t want to have to individually change the cell reference for each cell or having to delete the data in the cells as there is currently over 3000 cells in the excel sheet

Excel Mobile 6.1 help - delete data from multiple cells

I have a large worksheet which I do data entry in.

Each week I delete out the data from a long list and start again.

Since getting a new pda with excel 6.1 I can't delete data from a multiple selection.



On my old pda I just selected the first cell, scoll down, shift+last cell, delete and all data is gone.



NOW, just the first cell is cleared ??? WTF ?



Any help greatly appreciated.

 

does WP7 excel support or is there future plans to support data validation lists

HI all

just a quick question i was wondering, as the title suggests, if WP7 excel will support data validation lists as i know that the excel in WP6.5 did not. If the new excel does not support data validation lists is it possible to request that this feature be
included in future updates as i find them quite handy.

Help needed with Excel Attendance Sheet

You use the Data tab, Data validation facility to do this.

If you want a coherent explanation then look in Excel Help. Here's the relevant extract from Excel 2007 Help. Excel 2007 Help - Data Validation.pdf

My example:
- I have written them in what seems to me to be the order of easiest explanation.
- You'd actually set them up in the reverse order - step 3, step 2, step 1.

1 The result - my dropdown list. I select the cell then click on the dropdown arrow that appears next to it.




2 To set this up, select the whole column [or individual cells] where you want the dropdown to appear then click on the Data tab then the Data validation control. You need to
- select In-cell dropdown
- set the Allow entry to List
- in Source, enter the worksheet name & cell range where you have written the allowable entries - you will generally want to use absolute cell references such as those shown [$ in a cell address means absolute and will not vary as you copy the formula all the way down your column - look this up if you are not familiar with it because it needs a bit of getting used to].




3 Write out the list of allowable entries that will appear in your dropdown list.




Job done.
