Windows 10: DCOM 10005, Windows 10 login screen does not come up

For the last 3 days I've been working on this.

While playing a game, my computer froze. I tried ctrl+alt+del, and even soft reset, but it was non responsive. So, I had to cut the power. That was 3 days ago... I haven't been able to log in to windows 10 again. When I restart, it passes BIOS, then I see the blue windows logo then nothing. A black screen.


First, I tried to repair using repair tools at start up. It couldn't repair. Then, I tried to restore system to a previous config. It couldn't do that either. I started windows in safe mode, looked at several pages than removed faulty registry files using CCleaner. Than, it wouldn't even start in safe mode. So, I had no option but formate the drive and reinstall the windows. However, after deleting, at around 26% installation progress, it once again went into black screen.


So, I thought maybe my windows files are corrupt. Ok, I downloaded windows ISO to a flash drive from my laptop, and cleaned my drive using Shift+F10 and issuing clean command, and installed windows 10. it was all nice and fine and I even managed to see a desktop for like 0.1 second,than, black screen again.


So, no malware, no virus, no 3rd party program no nothing. Just an empty drive and windows ISO on a newly formatted flash drive.


Now, using powershell, I used sfc /scannow

At 10% it freezes.

chkdsk C: /f /r /x

finds no problem.

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

worked and returned no problems.


Using Device manager, I found out that my onboard sound card is not recognized by windows. It says drivers were not properly installed and gives a 31 error. I downloaded the files from net and instaled them manuelly and than it says that my sound devices are not connected! However, the device is on my motherboard. So, I disabled the sound devices and even all Services about sound in Services, so nothing should pop up in startup.


Still no luck!


I got a ton of DCOM 10005 error in my event viewer.

Event ID 10005 error (Windows 10)


Have you installed Windows Search on the computer? Is it set to automatic start? if it isn't DCOM will throw these DCOM 10005 errors. Although the errors might be annoying they are benign. If Windows Search was installed by error and if you don't use it you should uninstall it.

 

Can't login to new computer w/Windows 10

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.

buenas tardes.

este error se esta produciendo hace 1 semana hasta unos 2 días atrás que sencillamente no encendió mas. decidí formatear el disco C, pero esto no lo soluciono. este error no ocasiono mensaje de error, si no que la pantalla se iba a algo como unas franjas
verticales de colores (no se si me explico bien la verdad), para probar decidí probar con otra VGA (antes
R9 270x, ahora Radeon HD 6850) y este error dejo de aparecer.
