Windows 10: DCOM Error 80010111: "OLE received a packet with an invalid header" after WIN 10 update

After the latest Win 10 update 20H2 we get the error message "OLE received a packet with an invalid header" when we try to connect a client application to our server. The DCOM communication is not possible. If we deinstall the update the communication works again.

I was using 5 desktops, custom transitions, Portrait status-bar, Mag Hildon-desktop, swappiness(30) , Page cluster (5) , Mydocs executable , update notifications using Maemodder.



And today ive changed custom transitions and also selected "Hildon Acceleration".

Then i installed "tvbgone" app from testing area.I used fasterappmanger for install that.

After installing no probs occurred.



Then i tried to install "Desktop-switcher" using x-term.

x-term showed an error.

Also included the fasterappmanager error.
** apt-get update works in x-term. But cannot install, remove any apps.
*** Ive re-stored everything in Maemodder , removed battery, and also disabled my catalogs and re-enabled them ...but nothing works..Having the same errors again and again..
*****I know this info might be too much.. But told everything happened. So any ideas...? Without re-flashing and clearing device...? :smileyindifferent:

Error Message when updating from Win-7 to Won-10

I followed your suggestions (2nd Aug 19) for installing Win-10. Made the bootable flash drive successfully through the media creation tool. But when I attempted to upgrade and activate to Win-10 (64 bit) from within Win-7 (Pro-32 bit), I got the following error message:

Error # OxC1900101-Ox20017. " The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation"

I read the diagnostics under this error number and carried out the proposed fixes, i.e. update Win-7, uninstall Malwarebyte antivirus, disconnect all external hardware, e.g. printer, scanner, external hard drives. I then tried to repeat the steps to do the upgrade through the Win-10 bootable flash drive as before. Got the same error message.
Appreciate any further comments and suggestions as to (a) what does a failure in the SAFE_OS during boot operation mean, (b) what can I do to solve it. Is this anything to do with the hardware in my computer? I listed these in my first posting above.

DCOM error 10016 on shutdown

I had been getting the DCOM error 10016 on shutdown immediately followed by 4 SCM 7031 errors for quite some time until the MS August 10 updates were installed. I am still getting the SCM 7031 errors but the DCOM 10016 errors have stopped. Has anyone
else had this experience? I am running Win 10 Version 1511 on a desktop.
