Windows 10: dd/mm/yyyy in english

I'm natively german, so I've lived my whole life using dd/mm/yyyy. However, it seems that, when I switch to english in the windows 10 settings, that option dissappears. I can use dd/mm/yyyy in german, so why not in english?

I'd like to keep using dd/mm/yyyy, but don't want to have my windows be in german.

Is there any way to use it in english?

Format of date - DD MM YYYY

Well actually it was only there in the Regional settings list as DD/MMM/YYYY format which gave months in the JAN/FEB etc format.

If you want the DD/MM/YYYY form you have to hand edit the option to DD/MM/YYYY format and it seems to work for all programs.

People in the UK / Europe write dates in the format DD MM YYYY (rather than the way Americans do - MM DD YYYY). Would it be possible to have IE11 and Windows 10 enabled to show files in folders listed in the European way please? How can this be done?

 

WIN10 1809 reseting my date format dd/MM/YYYY every date

I tried setting WIN10 the regional format like you suggested to English (USA) and edited the date format to dd/MM/yyyy, the date stayed in that format for a while, then Windows reseted the date back to default to that region, M/d/yyyy for USA. It is the
same if I set the regional format to English (Australia), in this case it will reset it to the default d/MM/yyyy although dd/MM/yyyy is on the option list for Australia.

When it was on 1803 version, Windows did not give me much problem with date format. I have been fighting this since I upgraded my Windows to 1809 release.
