DirectX 11 but the DDI is 10

Hi

I have updated my DirectX to version 11 but my Display shows me that the DDI is version 10. I have also updated my Intel HD Graphic driver but it didn't help. When I search for a hotfix, Microsoft says that the fix is no longer available. I don't know
what to do then.

My DirectX 11 Graphic card was downgraded to DirectX 10

I trying to fix and restore my laptop's Radeon ™ HD 4500 DirectX 11 graphic card

which has been downgraded to "DirectX 10" by default from Windows 7 into 10.

I went to see whether I could download a driver from AMD but my HD 4500 card isn't in the list of supported card for

Windows 10. This is just ridiculous, as now I'm having trouble & eventually

not being able to play a game I want. So much for update.

It's not like my graphics isn't able to run DirectX 11, it's stated right infront of me

that it is DirectX 11 right at the original sticker still stuck on my computer.

You have an i3 M380 which has an integrated graphics processor. This iGPU, called 'Ironlake', only supports up to DirectX 10.01.

The DirectX API is backwards compatible with older hardware, but it can only support what the hardware supports, you can't make a DirectX 10 GPU a DirectX 11 GPU.

If a game or graphics program requires DX11 I'm afraid you're out of luck. Your laptop is quite old, the i3 M380 was released September 2010.
