Windows 10: Dead loop with setting up PIN

From the beginning, I set myself a login with a PIN code on the computer. A few days ago probably from September 2 I got a message when logging in that I had to log in to my microsoft account instead of asking for a pin code. When I wanted to set a new PIN, the system asked me for the old PIN, but after entering it, it says that it is incorrect. I closed the window and was logged into the system normally, but I decided to go to the settings and change the PIN code.I went to Settings > Account > Sign-in options > PIN Windows Hello where there is only "Configure" option. Cannot set up PIN after Creators Update

In this case, we recommend to repair and set up a new PIN by doing the following steps:

Open File Explorer and browser to this location:

C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC

Delete everything within that folder. You must be logged in as the Administrator to do this.

Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in Options.

Click Add a PIN again and set your PIN.

PIN sign in should work moving forward.

Windows Hello - PIN Loop

Thank you for the information you have provided. Since you have created a PIN before, we are going to reset your Windows 10 PIN. Kindly follow the steps below:

Open Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options

Click on I forgot my PIN.

You'll get a warning that you'll need to log in from scratch to access games, social networking, and more. Click on
Continue.

Enter your Microsoft account password and then set up the new PIN.

Pinning "Settings" to the Taskbar

I've tried both suggestions. But thanks to your(?) earlier post, I do have an icon pinned to the taskbar for settings.

Both were my posts In fact, at first I forgot to post the usual steps to pin Settings to taskbar, and rather complicated (which I thought) by suggesting you create a shortcut. Hence the 2nd post. Anyway, glad the shortcut method helped.
