  1. Dead Screen AFTER waking up from sleep

    Hi there,

Recently I reinstalled windows 10 due to failure of reset/refresh as there is Windows B.T couldn't be deleted, and I tried to remove using disk cleanup, turned out that it doesn't work.
Then I tried to use "take ownership" registry to delete the folder. (It worked)

After I have reinstalled by using .iso and I found that my screen is dead after waking up from sleep and it occurs constantly, I have tried to waking by mouse click, keyboard and power button, still the same.
As you can see, there is a region that is whiter than the rest of dead screen, which is mouse cursor, I can move the cursor which proved the windows is still responding but the screen isn't, each time the display is turned on, I could hear notification sound. (usb connected being connected)

Fortunately, the rest of functionality work perfectly, such as shutdown, restart or hibernate.

  2. Wakeup from sleep still uncontrollable (Windows 10, 64-bit)

Of course it won't wake up when you shut it down. Shutting a PC down means totally killing all processes. That's what sleep mode is for, and that's why the PC will only wake up when on sleep mode.

After all you can't wake a dead person, can you? same goes for computers.

Windows 10- 1709(16299.125)---Sign in screen not appearing

I do not get the sign in screen after waking the PC up from sleep mode. The only way I can get sign-in screen is to restart.

Remove the power cord, turn over after shutting lid and remove the battery along with opening the cover that is for your Hard Drive, which should be where the CMOS battery is on your laptop. I am guessing that you have a HP. If an HP, they should have a reset hole on the bottom of the case also. Just remember that using dual monitors can also mess things up with the system as you got. It is a problem that has been going on for some time with different resolutions and if HDMI, a handshake issue.
