Windows 10: Dec 2024 display glitches, delayed boot, no longer recognizes mouse, keyboard

Hello. My computer is on Windows 10. My computer is relatively stable- it has at least 1tb of storage free and 32g of ram- so it should be able to handle all Windows updates. I last used my computer yesterday, during which my computer worked perfectly fine.Last night my PC received the December 2024 update for windows 10. When I turned it on this morning, it allowed me to enter my passcode as normal. However, the clock and enter PIN screen stayed overlayed on all subsequent screens, glitching in and out of view. Thanks, but how would I be able to do any of the things that you suggest when Windows is not recognizing either my keyboard or my mouse?

I'll mention that I do intend to purchase a *wired* USB keyboard and mouse today and try them, but I'm not optimistic that they will be recognized by Windows either.

Did you check that the keyboard is not working again as I had the same issue with another PC where the system restore failed but I found that the keyboard and mouse were working even though the restore failed??
