Windows 10: Decimal point . not working on numberpad

Hello,I purchased a USB numberpad. At first, the decimal point would work, then it stopped, only functioning as a Del key, which is its function when not in NumLock. The numbers still print in NumLock. Only the decimal point . is no longer functional. If I turn NumLock off and reboot, the computer automatically turns NumLock back on, although the decimal point still is not functioning.I found some articles on the web indicating this is not unique to any one manufacturer and that this is a problem with Windows 10 that somehow modifies a default setting.Can someone or someone at Microsoft plea

As I suspected, even if you change the "Number of digits after the decimal point" value in Control Panel, the Windows 10 calculator requires the entry of the decimal point/

I have not been able to find any information so far that you can specify a fixed number of digits after the decimal point. If you want the decimal point to appear, press the period on the keyboard or on the screen in the calculator keypad.

I'll see if specifying the number of places in the Windows settings helps.

To change the decimal symbol back to a period, follow these steps:

• In Control Panel, click Region. Click on Advance settings.
• Click the Number tab.
• Change the Decimal Symbol setting to a period (.).
• Click OK.
