    DECRYPTION_FAILED Error: 0x80071771


    DECRYPTION_FAILED Error: 0x80071771 The specified file could not be decrypted (after installing W10 OEM).
    1. Copied off some Vista encryted files onto external HD.
    2. Formatted internal HD (actually used DBAN).
    3. Installed W10 OEM 64-bit.
    4. Tried to copy the encrypted files (to bring back to internal HD)
    5. Get message: "File Access Denied", "You'll need to provide administrator permission to copy this file"
    6. Select "Continue"
    7. Get Message: "File Access Denied", "You need permission to perform this action", "You require permission from [long number] to make changes to this file.
    8.I choose to fo to "Encryption File System" to "Manage your file encryption certificates"
    9. Within that I choose to "Update your previously encrypted files"
    10. I find the file on the external HD and update them.
    11. Get Message: "Some of your encrpted files were not updated"
    12. Log provides the error: [ERROR] 0x80071771
    I really didn't know what I was doing and really don't know where to turn now. Any advice would be appreciated.
