Windows 10: Default app setting not working for MKV

HiWhen I try to associate a default app to .mkv files the "Choose a default" option remains grayed.This is annoying since every time I double click an mkv file I need to select the appAny idea?

Have you tried manually associating MKV files to a particular program in Settings? If not yet, let's do it by performing the steps below:

• Click Start.
• Open Settings, and select System.
• Select Defaults apps, and choose Choose default apps by file type.
• Look for .mkv in the list, and click on the corresponding program on the right to set its association.

If the issue persists, a corrupted user profile might be causing this problem. We suggest that you

create a new local user account and check if you will be able to set file associations correctly and open MKV files while on the new account.

Setting Default Apps in the Settings app doesn't work

I have the same problem but I would like to set the Iron browser to default. I can set any browser when using set default by apps but SRware Iron does not even show up on the apps list. It is installed. I even reinstalled it as someone else suggested.
Why is this the only browser that I cannot set as default.
