Windows 10: Default Browser assignment

I use Microsoft Edge, but also Google Chrome and Firefox. I would like the option to assign NO default for my browsers, rather than having one and having to either copy addresses or re-make links in order to open desktop links, perhaps with the "open with" option available on those links. Can this be done? If so, how do I do it?

Assigning default browser

Go Settings, Apps, Default apps. At the bottom of the list is Web browser.

What I suggest you is to clear out all defaults for it and assign them to your preferred browser.

To do so, follow these steps:

Type "Default" to Search box.

Choose Default option with the checkmark icon.

Pick your new browser in the list and "set as default".

• Does this issue happens while you try to set other browser as default too or is it specific to specific browser?

Any browser.

Already did the steps you suggested. It's some kind of bug where it's impossible to set a default browser at all.

I heard elsewhere from one other user that it seems to be a problem with upgrading to 10 on the SP3. Sounds very specifc.
