Windows 10: Default browser changing to Internet Explorer after restart/shutdown

Hi,


Has anyone found a solution to why Windows 10 keeps changing the default browser to Internet Explorer?


We image a bunch of laptops using MDT and looked into the custom scripts and default associations and found nothing. Searched nothing useful online and in the Microsoft Forums.


Any suggestions?

As you want to set Internet Explorer as the default browser, I suggest you to follow the steps below:

• Navigate to Start>Settings>System.
• In the left pane, click on Default Apps.
• In the right pane, under Web browser, click on Microsoft edge and select
  Internet Explorer.
• Restart the system and check.

Internet Explorer as default browser

Hi BoomerPerkins.

to change the default browser go to settings -> apps -> default apps

under web browser, click on the current default (Microsoft Edge)

then select internet explorer from the list

please let us know if you experience any problem.

 

I can't make internet Internet Explorer as a default browser in Windows 10 (only option is Microsoft Edge)
