Windows 10: Default ICC Profile not always loaded at cold boot

Hello,

I don't think this is a new issue but a default ICC profile for a monitor is not always loaded at cold boot.
I'm running Win ver 1909 (upgrade from previous version). The profile is set as default in the color management settings. When the profile is not loaded I have to manually enter color management, click on the profile and click set as default profile once again.

Trouble Loading ICC Profile

I recently purchased an ASUS VG32VQ monitor. The color was off so i downloaded an ICC file which took a while to get installed...I noticed that the monitor had a dead pixel so i had amazon send me THE EXACT SAME MONITOR. well when i plugged my new monitor
in the ICC profile does nothing zero nada. i plugged the one in that i will be returning and the color profile loaded right up no problem. plugged the new one in and bam nothing no new color profile. does the ICC somehow know that it wasnt the original monitor
and wont apply to this one? as i said it is the same brand make model everything. i have been working on this for hours and cannot get this ICC to load at all. please help.

 

Unable to load custom ICC color profile in Windows 10

My monitor requires a custom ICC color profile to display correctly. Under Windows 8.1, I was able to load this using the Color Management utility. After upgrading to Windows 10, the utility appears the same, however, I'm unable to load the profile.

The process I've been using is:

• open Color Management
• Under the "Advanced" tab, click "Change system defaults"
• Under the "Devices" tab, click "Add..."
• Click "Browse..." in the popup window and locate the custom profile file and click "add"

Then nothing happens. Under Windows 8.1, the custom profile would appear under the list of "Profiles associated with this device", but not in Windows 10.

Any fixes for this?

 

Upgrade to 1903 monitor color profile not loading from cold boot

ICC color profile is still not properly fixed. If you [ Turn off the display ] after set number of minute(s) or hour(s) using Power Options/Edit Plan Settings, when the display is awakened sometimes the ICC color profile will not load and reverts back to default.
