Windows 10: Default keyboard for new windows users

Hi,Every time I create a new account on my Windows 11 it gives the users an English keyboard. I want new users to have a different keyboard e.g., Italian, where can I set this? I know I can add keyboard after the user is created, but I want the user to be created with the right keyboard I have.Thanks.

New Account/User Issues

Hi,

When you create a new user account, Windows uses the Default user profile as a template to construct the files for the newly created user account. You might be experiencing issues creating new accounts due to a corrupt Default profile. To
resolve the issue, we suggest reinstating the Default folder in the
Users directory by following these steps:

• Log in as an administrator.
• Open the C:\Users folder using Windows Explorer.
• Rename the Default user profile folder to Default.OLD.
• Download a zip of C:\Users\Default from a Windows 10 installation that doesn't have this problem.
  
• Unzip the non-corrupt Default profile into C:\Users.
• Try logging in to the new user account and check if the problem is resolved.

Numlock defaults to off


To enable NUM LOCK before a user logs on, follow these steps:

• Run Registry Editor.
• Move to HKEY_USERS\.Default\Control Panel\Keyboard
  .
• Change the value for InitialKeyboardIndicators from 0 to 2.

Language/Keyboard default

Hi Sandra,

You can try these steps to set up your preferred defaults:

• Go to Settings and click Time & Language.
• Click Region & Language.
• Click on your default system language then, click Options.
• Click Add a keyboard then choose your preferred keyboard language.
• Remove the other keyboard language by choosing it then click Remove.
