Default "Print on both sides of paper"

Does anyone know how I can make the default settings for my printer print on both sides of paper whenever the Print window prompts me? I'm getting sick of forgetting to check that checkbox every time I need to print out multiple pages, whether on Word or from a PDF on Adobe, and I really despise wasting paper because of climate change. Plus, I don't having that box checked for a one-page document is really going to make it print the same thing on both sides. Or if there is no way that I can preset this, I just want to respectfully make a strong suggestion that maybe having an option to do so i

    Printer's default paper size ignored

I often print to PDFs. My PDF printers are set to a default paper size of Legal. But when I print the size is Letter and I have to change it each time. This used to work. I'm not sure when it changed.
    • Windows Setting Manage Default Printer is not checked
    • Doesn't matter which printer I use - PDFCreator, Bullzip PDF, Adobe PDF
    • Windows 10 build 1803
    • Happens when printing from many apps - Microsoft Office, LibreOffice, Email
    • Works properly when printing from other apps - Notepad, Notepad++, browsers
    • Happens on multiple computers - desktop and laptop
Any tips on how to get the printer default paper size to work?

Printing a paper to my Brother printer using windows prints portrait on a landscape paper

Hello NewDev4IOS, welcome to the Microsoft community, my name is Luiz Cruz, an independent consultant and I would be happy to help you.

I suggest you do the following procedures for the possible resolution of the problem:

Printing is out of alignment or the size of the printed document is reduced when printing the document from Microsoft Word.

Please follow the steps below to set the paper size correctly.

1.Open the document with Word 2010.

    2. Click to select the paper size in the Settings section and select the paper size you want to use for printing.

    3. Click to select the paper size in the Settings section and select the paper size you want to use for printing.

"If the paper size shown appears as the chosen one, be sure to click on the menu and from the drop down menu choose the paper size again".

Example: If you are printing a Letter size and Letter document is shown, click on the drop down menu from the menu and choose "Letter" again.

    4.Click Print.

    5. If the document prints without any problems, click Save on the File menu.

This problem can only occur if the paper size was not defined before the document was created. Before printing the document, we recommend setting the paper size and saving the configuration, following the steps above.

I hope I helped, even more!
