    Default Windows Mail Background Photos


    Hello,


    Where can I find the default windows mail background photos on my computer? I'd like to use one of the photos as my desktop background as well, but I can't find the file in my system.

    Lost default photo viewer after profile rebuild

    Thanks Brink. I've tried those steps before i started searching Google. After the profile rebuild i don't have the Photo app listed to choose to make it default in either the system settings for default apps or the Open With option.

    I can't even find it doing a search. Seems to have been removed somehow with the profile rebuild, which doesn't make sense.

    Might be helpful to list what i've done Default Windows Mail Background Photos :) I've done the open with check, the choose default program in the system menu, tried that in device manager default programs also. I've checked the programs and features Turn windows features on/off and it's not listed there (never thought it was but that was a suggestion), searched the MS Store, it's not listed there either.

    I don't like playing in the registry unless i have defined steps and haven't found anything for this yet, just the Win7 version like in my OP.

    Cannot Reset the Default Background

    When I set the background of mail application in Windows 10 using my photo, I cannot reset it to the default background photo. How can I reset it back to the default background? Thank you!

    I do appreciate your efforts and time.

    Sorry to know that the issue persists. I suggest you to search for it in Search and pin it to Start Menu.

    I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

    • Go to search and type Photo Moto app. Right-click on it to pin it to Start menu.
    • Go to Search. Type Settings. Click on it open.
    • Click on System. Click on Default apps. Then follow the instructions from the link below to set Photo Moto as default app for Photos.
    Choose the apps Windows uses by default:
